Year long Mentorship

Part One of Mentorship:  Prepare the Way - Separation and Liminality

Mentor and student participant gather together for an orientation retreat in Plainview, Texas for a time of training and commissioning of mentoring stage.  The meetings will foster dialogue to consider what it means to be “called.”   Prayer and Bible study will guide the dialogue and interaction. Part one includes 12 KALEO in person mentoring sessions with a leader/mentor from the student’s home church to be conducted March – June.

Before the student participant encounters the one-month immersion experience with KALEO the student and mentor will begin the last 4 mentoring sessions concentrated on the learning spheres and thresholds.

In addition to the face-to-face meetings, each mentor and student participant will be involved with an online cohort of learners using the Virtual Campus of Wayland Baptist University.  The Blackboard course management system will be used to facilitate mentor training, mentor/mentee discussions, and small group KALEO sessions.
